The 2021 Riesling Zeltinger Sonnenuhr Kabinett Fuder 6 comes from Zeltinger Sonnenuhr, one of the core sites of this estate, with some very old, ungrafted parcels with super-low yields making it hard to craft light-footed Kabinett styles - but Molitor pulls it off. The nose has a touch of white chocolate and very tender fresh white currant with a lemon overtone. The palate, however, shakes off any kind of creamy aspect and depicts the stony, slatey depth and lemon focus. There is something limpid and bullet-like about this. A very compact mouthfeel. Most impressive and very long. 94 points

The 2021 Riesling Zeltinger Sonnenuhr Kabinett Fuder 6 (White Capsule) opens with a quite intense nose of just-ripe fruits intermingled with notes of finely crushed iodine-inflected slate. Lush and textured on the palate, this is a light to medium-bodied, fresh and crunchy Kabinett with charming fruit and crystalline/saline acidity. There is some Sauvignon greenishness here as well, but this is the finest of the few dry 2021 Kabinetts here at Molitor. 10.5% stated alcohol. Tasted at the domaine in May 2023. 89 points
