2021 Equipo Navazos La Bota No.131 Manzanilla

Secondary Description
Florpower MMXXI
A single-vintage Manzanilla (2021) from the celebrated Pago Miraflores La Baja vineyard in Sanlucar de Barrameda, crafted from 100% Palomino Fino. While previous Equipo Navazos Florpower releases have been unfortified, No. 131 has been fortified in the classic Manzanilla style. The result is a lighter, more tensile expression than older Manzanilla Pasadas or oxidatively aged examples, a wine where flor is the protagonist. This Manzanilla is vibrant and characterful, with a crisp, saline core, notes of fresh bread dough, lees, citrus zest, green apple peel, sea spray, white flowers, and a touch of almond. (NT 10/11/25)

Luis Gutierrez

The 2021 La Bota de Manzanilla 131 Florpower MMXXI was bottled quite young, with some creaminess and baby fat. This is the idea of the initial Florpower (114—released back in 2022) that was fortified and aged in bota with flor for two years. It`s still very young, close to an unfortified white, the wines that are kind of stirring the market right now, still undeveloped and tender, with an undeveloped nose and a better palate that shows a solid and balanced wine with a serious mouthfeel and a chalky texture. 3,900 bottles produced. It was bottled in November 2024. 93+ points
