Customer Reserves
Uncorked customer reserves are based at Eton Park (formerly Vinotheque), London City Bond's state-of-the-art facility at Burton-upon-Trent. Following a £1 million upgrade, this Victorian, grade II-listed, former brewery grain store, with metre-thick walls, controlled air flow and natural light shuttering, is arguably the best fine wine storage facility in the country. No additional charge is levied for transfer to Eton Park, and our normal storage and delivery rates apply.
Storage charges (ex VAT)
Storage is charged biannually, midway through each 6-month period. August to January is invoiced in October; February to July in April. The minimum charge is 6 months; please withdraw stock ahead of the charging date to avoid charges. Withdrawals after the charging date will not qualify for a refund. There is no charge for stock received after the October and April billing dates until the next storage periods begin 3 months later.
The rates payable ex VAT are:
£3.25 per half-year per 4.5 litre case for 40 cases+
£3.40 per half-year per 4.5 litre case for 10 to 39 cases
£4.00 per half-year per 4.5 litre case for fewer than 10 cases
We bill only for the actual case volume in storage - 3x75cl, 1x150cl, etc., while split cases (cases from which some bottles have been removed) are charged at a half-case rate.
An administration charge of £5 plus VAT per stock line is charged for the receipt of external stocks or for change of ownership within Uncorked's customer reserves.
All mixed cases are subject to a charge of £12 plus VAT for insurance purposes. The contents are photographed and verified.
Notifications
Customers with reserves receive a monthly email on the 6th indicating their wines and where they are, whether in Eton Park, Tilbury (LCB) or abroad.
Delivery
Delivery of reserves to UK mainland addresses £10, otherwise by arrangement except externally receipted stock which will be delivered at cost.

Code of practice
Uncorked customer reserves are stored in accordance with industry code of best practice:
Stock ring-fenced from Uncorked trading stock;
Stock individually labelled to identify customer's ownership;
Individual stock statements available at any time without charge;
Stock available for inspection;
'All Risks' insurance included to full replacement value;
Stock removed only with written permission
Withdrawing your reserves
All requests to arrange delivery or transfer of your reserves should be done either through the website as above or by email.
Deliveries and transfers will be scheduled upon payment of the consequent duty, VAT and delivery charges and if applicable all other outstanding monies.
Only whole cases may be delivered or transferred.
