N.V. Equipo Navazos La Bota No.135 Fino

Secondary Description
`Chiclana`
Sourced from selected butts in Chiclana de la Frontera down the road from Cadiz, this distinctive Fino reflects the Atlantic influence of its coastal vineyards. Developed through a decade-long collaboration between Equipo Navazos and Chano Aragon (of Bodega Manuel Aragon), the solera was built from the sharpest, most characterful musts intended to capture the authentic style of Chiclana. Aged around 7½ years under flor and bottled practically en rama, it delivers a mature yet vibrant profile - saline, vertical, and full of tension, with the freshness of a Manzanilla but the depth of inland Fino. Complex and elegant, it reveals layers of sea breeze, toasted almond, and subtle flor yeast. (NT 10/11/25)

Equipo Navazos La Bota No.135 Fino

Media Reviews

Luis Gutierrez

The NV La Bota de Fino Chiclana 135 is a new bottling of Fino sourced from Chiclana, from the winery of Manuel Aragon, a serious and austere Fino, with textbook notes of esparto grass and wet chalk, still easy to drink, despite being seven to eight years of age. This is still a baby, bottled in September 2025. This is serious and powerful, closer to the wines from Jerez on the nose and with a lighter palate and more salinity, narrower than the stony concentration of the wines from Macharnudo, for example, leaving a salty, marine sensation. It`s long and tasty, with a saline finish. It should grow in bottle. 3,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in September 2025. 94 points
