The 2021 Riesling Zeltinger Sonnenuhr Spatlese (Golden Capsule) is brilliantly clear, fresh and precise on the slightly flinty nose that speaks of broken blue slate and bright, elegant fruit aromas, including ripe peaches but also some herbs. Lush and refined on the palate, this is a gorgeously fruity and finessed Spatlese with mouth-watering salinity and savoriness on the very long and complex, always stimulating finish. 7.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in May 2023. 95 points
