The 2014 Barolo Monvigliero is hugely promising. Ample and racy on the palate, with surprising depth, it has really come together since I tasted it this past summer. Aromatically expressive and deep, and delivering a good bit of power, the 2014 is shaping up to be a jewel of a wine. At this stage, the Monvigliero comes across as quite virile in feel. I tasted the 2014 from tank about a week prior to bottling. This is impressive juice. 93-95 points
