Eric Guido

The 2014 Brunello di Montalcino reminds me more of savory cuisine than wine on the nose, with an exotic and uniquely pleasurable bouquet of acacia, hazelnut, dried berries, spiced orange rinds and mint. It displays the softest textures imaginable, with a note of cherry herbal tea and salty minerals that create a balanced contrast on the palate. Cool-toned, fresh and unlike any Brunello I`ve ever tasted, the 2014 leaves me guessing. Where will this go? What will it become? In the end, it`s an incredibly pleasurable experience. 94 points
