The 2025 Riesling Steinriegl Federspiel is from a cooler site with marble, silicate and active lime. Crushed citrus foliage beguiles right away and teases with tangerine on the nose. The palate is focused and svelte, with linearity, stone, poise and zest. This is not for beginners, with an uncompromising straightness that almost reminds one of Germany. 94 points
