Jane Anson
Good minerality and lift, this has grip, beautifully teased out citrus and lime zest flavours, apple blossom, salt scrape, with good depths. Last year with Frederic Bonnaffous as Wine Director across the Dourthe Estates, and this one has seen a lot of investment and renovations over the past few years. 92 points
Antonio Galloni
The 2024 La Garde Blanc is brisk and finely cut. Vinification in wood amplifies citrus and orchard fruit notes nicely. Clean, bracing notes support the finish. I see a concerted effort to raise quality and seriousness at La Garde, obviously a huge positive. 90-92 points
Neal Martin
The 2024 La Garde Blanc has a straightforward nose of dewy green apple and light gooseberry fruit. It needs just a bit more vigour. The palate is well balanced with a lightly spiced entry and a keen line of acidity. I appreciate the concentration and weight of this La Garde Blanc, hence I think it should repay cellaring if the drinker is inclined. 88-90 points
