Monica Larner
The Fratelli Alessandria 2024 Langhe Favorita shows bright freshness with a lightly reductive, gently rustic edge that opens to lemony fruit framed by a hint of flint. The grapes undergo only a few hours of skin contact before fermentation, preserving the wine’s crisp and lively character. Fruit is sourced from three Verduno vineyards - Boscatto (at 250 to 370 meters in elevation), Sotto Orti (270 to 310 meters) and Semolino (320 to 350 meters with east-to-west exposures) - where varied elevations and exposures contribute nuance and balance. The result is a simple but fresh wine. It is produced in 6,000 bottles under screw cap. 88 points
