2022 Yves Cuilleron Viognier Vin de Pays

The pithy, blossom-to-almond-to-apricot tension in this wine is pure declassified Condrieu; and owning some of the finest sites in the area, Yves Cuilleron is a master at Condrieu. The irony is, he never even meant to be a winemaker – but the pull of his family’s vineyards drew him in. The classy, crystalline intensity in this rewarding white wine could easily cut through a fatty pork knuckle. (NT 24/09/24)
