Bourbon HH - Speyside
`Auchroisk` means `shallow ford across the red stream`, which suggests that Gaelic is a more compact language than English. Nothing compact about the character of this Speyside malt, though, think olive oil in a hot skillet meeting fruit frangipane. A bit of water turns it into a grassy meadow full of flowers. Expansive aromas and a lovely, balanced mouthfeel. Perhaps this malt is better known under its older name of `The Singleton`. (NT 18/07/19)
