When it comes to whisky, the Scottish island of Islay is all about peat. And there’s bags of peat on the nose of this Islay malt whisky, along with butter tablet, roasted peanut, lemon and pipe tobacco. This honeyed, smoky whisky is a vatted malt, made up from a small batch of casks - most of which of which come from one, anonymous, Islay distillery.
