N.V. AD Rattray Bank Note 43%

A cracker of a blended whisky. Bank Note is the happy marriage of 40% Speyside and Highland malt whiskies, and 60% aged Lowland grain whisky. It’s mellow and elegant, opening on a rich, sweet character marked with clean notes of vanilla and clove, and closing on lingering notes of barley sugar. The brand that has done the rounds: Bank Note was first bottled way back in 1810. Inflation may have changed the value of one ‘bank note’ since then, but this is still fantastic value for money.
