N.V. Leiper`s Fork Bourbon Whiskey 50%

70% corn, 15% wheat, 15% malted barley, all locally sourced and processed on-site at the Leiper`s Fork Distillery in Franklin, Tennessee (just outside of Nashville). Distilled in a pot-still to 68.5% abv then put into new American oak barrels at 55% abv, aged for 5 years before bottling at 50% abv.
Richly scented, sawdust and corn-kernels, vanilla, demerara sugar, dry straw, dense and powerful. Numbingly powerful on the palate, woody and immense - a drop of water is advisable if you like your whiskey neat. Water brings out cornbread and malty spice, clove and cinnamon.
