62% Pinot Noir/24% Chardonnay/14% Pinot Meunier
A wistful strawberry and rose petal bouquet on this delightful rose champagne; it may come from the French citadel of Ay, but for me it`s all about the English summer. It is also an ideal match for smoked kippers, so perfect for imagining you are Noel Coward, drinking champagne with a ration card breakfast while bombs crash down around you. In the interests of historical accuracy, it should be noted that this cuvee did not appear for the first time till 2008, but historical accuracy should never be allowed to get in the way of a good flight of fancy.
