The 2025 Riesling Tonschiefer is from the Oberhauser Leistenberg with a smaller addition of pre-harvests from sites like Hermannshohle, on shale. Gorgeous green apple has a lovely citrus verve alongside its tender reduction. Slender on the palate, this trembles with verve and beautifully clear-cut, pristine and precise citrus and apple fruit. Wonderful as a statement and calling card. (Bone-dry) 91 points
