Neal Martin

The 2024 Savigny-les-Beaune Les Lavieres 1er Cru was completely de-stemmed this year. It has a perfumed bouquet with rose petal-tinged red berry fruit, crisp and nicely focused. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, smooth redcurrant and cranberry fruit with just a touch of black pepper towards the lingering finish. A comely wine. 90-92 points

Jasper Morris MW

Vinified without sulphur, no pre-maceration, protected by the addition of inert Co2. This cuvee tends to have a very low pH so they can risk it. 7 barrels, one new, destemmed fruit from 40- and 90-year-old vines. Mid crimson ruby. Starts quietly then a concentration of deep raspberry with precision, and some more savoury tannins, and excellent length. 90-93 points
