Media Reviews

Neal Martin

The 2024 Gevrey-Chambertin Village includes fruit from the Etelois this year. This has quite a reductive nose at the moment, more black fruit than red. The palate is medium-bodied, the 48% whole bunch imparting black pepper notes, tea leaves and crushed stone with a slight touch of espresso and fresh mint on the finish. This will be interesting to watch age in bottle…intriguing. 89-91 points

Etelois has been incorporated in the main Gevrey blend. 50% whole bunch vinification. No new wood. Mid crimson, the fruit shows up more than the stems on the nose, strawberry and cherry, but very spicy behind with some oak showing. Fine length. 90-91 points
