Neal Martin
The 2024 Chassagne-Montrachet Les Morgeot Tete du Clos 1er Cru sports a subtle reduction on the nose. Well-defined, quite backward at first, it reveals lanolin and beeswax aromas with time in the glass. The palate is very harmonious, not huge weight but tensile with a sapid, quite nutty/smoky finish that fans out as a Premier Cru ought to. Clean and precise. 91-93 points

Fresh lemon and lime. Even coming after a Meursault Perrieres, this Tete du Clos has refined class. It spreads steadily towards the back of the mouth, offering orchard fruit, no yellow plums, a good backbone, less demonstrative than the Meursaults yet with a long, supple, fruit laden finish. 92-95 points
