The 2024 Chambolle-Musigny Village felt a bit distant and missed a little fruit concentration when I compared it with the Morey Village this year. The palate is better with pliant tannins, a fine bead of acidity, nothing complex but there is commendable cohesion on the understated finish. Give it a year in bottle for those aromatics to pull their socks up. 88-90 points

Glowing fresh ruby purple. The nose is slightly more angular than you might expect for Chambolle, red fruit, just a slightly flat spot as it tries to rev up, and the wood takes over at the finish. Redcurrant more than raspberry. 88-89 points
