Yohan Castaing
Crafted from vines planted on the eponymous lieu-dit on granite soils, the 2023 Condrieu Lieu-Dit Vernon reveals a complex, ripe bouquet of apricot, honeysuckle, pear and spice. Medium- to full-bodied, dense and enveloping, it is well-balanced, built around a fleshy core of fruit framed by delicate acidity that imparts freshness on the finish. Though relatively powerful in profile, it remains well-judged and perfumed, with fine underlying definition. 94 points
