The 2023 Chassagne-Montrachet Chaumées 1er Cru has a lovely bouquet that is a sibling of the Clos Saint-Jean. The nose is very precise with hints of white peace, orchard fruit and lemon sherbet. It`s livelier than Niellon`s other Premier Crus. The palate is nicely defined with fine depth and more substance. The slightly honeyed finish will be irresistible. This may well end up at the top of my banded score. 92-94 points
