A flamboyant lemon and lime colour with a strikingly lively ripe fruit on the nose. This is exciting ripe, not heavy ripe. Honeysuckle and then some butter to finish but a lively fruit in between. Have to think about a food pairing, not a simple apero. 87-89 points

Always the last to be harvested, the 2023 Bourgogne Aligote Raisins Dores was picked on September 23 and had been racked three weeks before my visit. It has a light resinous bouquet. The palate is well balanced with a crisp entry, touches of bitter lemon and orange rind and just a slight attenuation on the finish. Fine. 86-88 points
