2022 Joseph Colin Bourgogne Aligote Jardins

A hint of reduction, a waxy note, pretty citrus aromas - easily mistaken for Chardonnay. The palate, very fresh at the core, with fleshy white fruit flavours and plenty of energy, shows a little more Aligote character. Barrel influence adds excellent creamy nuance. Delicious for the price, this is the benchmark for affordable Burgundy, as the prices for Chardonnay rise ever higher... and where this wine is concered, I for one am not complaining! (JH 27/06/2024)
