2022 Donnhoff Riesling QbA Dry

The 2022 Riesling was harvested in the lateral valley of Oberhausen, on south-east-facing slopes of volcanic origin and in the younger vines of the top south-facing sites. It was fermented in stainless steel only. It opens with opulent, ripe yellow stone fruit, pear peel and initially, even a tropical overtone of pineapple, which tones down again. The slender, light palate is of equal fruitiness, bright, very juicy, tapering towards vivid, lemony, citric freshness on the dry finish. (Bone-dry) 88 points
