Neal Martin
The 2021 Savigny-lès-Beaune Les Lavières 1er Cru, containing 20% whole bunches, has a light, slightly stemmy bouquet with tea leaf infused, open-knit red fruit. The palate is well balanced though not complex, perhaps just missing a bit of definition and focus on the finish. Early drinking. 84-86 points

Domaine. 20% whole bunch. One third new wood, the rest one year old. A pretty bouquet with enough fruit to hide the oak. This is extremely good in a bright strawberry fruit style, the wood helps add some tension to the finish. Not a heavyweight of course, but this has been very well judged. 89-91 points
