Monica Larner
The Fratelli Serio & Battista Borgogno 2021 Barolo shows a simple bouquet with dried fruit and herb. The fruit is slightly faded and not as vibrant in this blend that is mostly from Monforte d`Alba and Novello, with a small part from La Morra. It offers a savory or earthy quality with polished tannins for drinking over the near term. This is a 17,000-bottle release. 90 points
