2020 Chanin Chardonnay Los Alamos

Secondary Description
Gavin Chanin is a very talented winemaker who used to work at Au Bon Climat before setting up his own project, vinifying Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from some of the finest vineyards in Santa Barbara County. He is also an artist, creating new labels for each wine in each vintage. This is a full-bodied Chardonnay from the Los Alamos vineyard, richly textured and very elegant. It will age well, but is delicious right now! (ZA 12/10/2023)

The 2020 Chardonnay Los Alamos Vineyard is bright, airy and lifted. In this vintage, the Los Alamos Chardonnay has a bit more texture and mid-palate pliancy than is often the case. That`s not a bad thing at all. In fact, orchard fruit, white flowers, spice and tangerine oil build in the oily, beautifully textured finish. 94 points
