2019 Chapoutier Schieferkopf Riesling Fels

A racy, mineral wine full of lemon and citrus fruit character. Made from a 0.8 hectare south-east facing vineyard of shallow schist, which basks in the morning sun, conserving its freshness and acidity. Excellent acidity, good balance. The ripe, fruity palate is underpinned by mineral notes, with a salinity that lingers on the textured, persistent finish. (NT 10/05/20)
