Vegetarian
The Chateau Pesquie Viogniers always have to be bottled as non AOP wines because the variety is not permitted a starring role in the Ventoux. This is a shame because Pesquie`s terroir and farming is ideally suited to Viognier. The almost biodynamic viticulture, the altitude and the almost constant cool breeze sweeping off the mountain combine to allow the grape to ripen slowly; retain freshness; pick up a saline mineral character and stone fruit character. It is a great wine from an overperforming property at an excellent price. (CW 30/10/19)
