The 2014 Barolo Bricco Ambrogio is a noteworthy expression that immediately jumps out, thanks to the rich intensity and structure it displays. This cooler vintage has shaped a wine with ample backbone to support dark fruit, spice and licorice. However, despite that immediate girth and power, this wine reveals a more ethereal and delicate approach on closer inspection. The final words spoken here are subtle and soft. 91 points
