2014 Vincent Paris Cornas La Geynale

attractive dark red; the nose is a pretty affair, with light violet-floral and lead pencil airs, a neat line of raspberry fruit at its centre. The palate offers a northern style of wine, has a free clarity, hints of Pinot, is perfumed and bears an iron freshness, a nice delicacy, some late glow. It’s cool, very appealing, carries pinpoint fruit, is a real terroir wine, no barriers from the climate. The tannins are soft, the length trim. 4.5 stars
