Bourbon hosghead no. 199/single cask, single malt
Lying in the outskirts of Elgin, Linkwood is a distillery with a long history; it was founded when whisky distilling was still technically illegal, in the very early nineteenth century. It`s rarely seen in single bottlings, mostly being used as a component of blends like Johnnie Walker and White Horse. This bottling shows a complex panoply of classic Speyside aromas, ranging from intensely floral (buttercup, blossom) via a hoppy West Coast IPA, Terry`s Chocolate Orange, Lemon Meringue Pie, finishing on a note of rain in a pine forest.
