Decanter magazine has scored the vintage five-out-of-five, and called it ‘a modern benchmark’ which has yielded ‘a surfeit of great Barolo’. Decanter hails the ‘charismatic yet well-structured wines with great ageing potential’. On vinous.com, Antonio Galloni calls 2021 ‘an exceptional year in terms of both quality and consistency’ and writes, ‘savvy Piedmont fans should note that it will be some time before another vintage of this caliber enters the market’.
