2019 release
`Rama` means branch in Spanish, so `en rama` means on the branch or figuratively, in its raw, natural state, straight from the cask. It`s made only from free run juice without any pressure being exerted. It spends 8 years in solera, 2 years longer than the regular La Gitana Manzanilla. While most houses use the same wine for their En Rama as their Manzanilla/Fino, Hidalgo specially select the best barrels in their San Luis winery for their En Rama. The result is a pungent Manzanilla, nettley and briny, with just a hint of honey, yeast and citrus. What better to have with a bowl of almonds or olives? (NT 26/04/19)
Very aromatic on the nose with nettle leaves, citrus fruits and yeasty undertones. Fresh and clean on the palate with great purity of fruit on the finish. (JW 29/04/19)

Jancis Robinson
4 years old. Pungent and racy and more demanding than the regular version. Blackcurrant fruit and masses of acidity. For aficionados! 15% 16.5 points
