The 2024 Beaune Clos des Mouches Blanc 1er Cru has a much more austere bouquet than the Chassagne Morgeot. It opens gradually with stony, cool glade scents. The palate is well balanced with good intensity, fresh and tensile, light leesy notes that shape the finish and lend length. Excellent. 91-93 points

Picked over three days, 16th-18th September. Around 13% or just over, naturally. What a stunning bouquet with the characteristic extra flesh! Plenty of white fruit weight with cashmere texture, enveloping the oak which is certainly present but well handled. A beautifully long finish. 94-95 points (5 stars)
