2024 Belondrade y Lurton Rueda Verdejo

Secondary Description
Peaches and lime in this brilliant oak-aged Verdejo, with the texture of lees aging imparting a Champagne-like taste across the mid-palate, topped off with a lick of some very smart wood. The energy and intensity here is phenomenal, with a structured, pithy core that will demand some time to unwind. Taut, tense and focussed. (NT 06/05/26)

A fantastic vintage of this classic wine from the estate’s vineyards in La Seca, the wine is immediately mineral and stony on the nose with delicate smokey and citrus aromas. The acid is vibrant and the finish saline, and the palate is at once elegant and structured. While the wine will age beautifully, it is also very appealing right now - one of the flagships of the region. 2026-32. 96 points
