The 2024 Pommard Les Pezerolles 1er Cru was cropped at just 14hl/ha this year. It was quite reductive on the nose but there seems to be plenty of attractive black fruit here. The palate is medium-bodied with chewy tannins. Fine weight, less reduced in the mouth with pliant tannins towards the black pepper tinged finish. I suspect that this will surpass the Volnay Santenots. 89-91 points

Fresh purple in colour. A bit of reduction masks the fruit at first then some ripe griottine cherries and a bit of raspberry emerge. Slightly furry tannins behind before the fruit swoops back and delivers quite a promising finish. 20 hl/ha. 88-91 points
