Shaped by skin contact and fermentation in large oak vats, the 2023 Roda I Blanco (90% Viura, Rioja Alta) was aged in 500-liter oak. White flowers lead the nose, followed by dried grapefruit peel, field herbs and fine wood. On the palate, it is dry and enveloping, with lime, quince paste and peach adding depth. A subtle chalky texture and clear energy let it walk a compelling line between agility and creaminess, resolving the tension through layered flavor. 94 points
