All destemmed, and now racked to tank, after 25% new wood. A fine bright crimson purple, with lifted fruit, showing both energy and balance. I like Savigny in 2022. Typical briary red fruit with well-integrated tannins. Fair length. Drink from 2030-2035. 90-92 points

The 2022 Savigny-les-Beaune Les Lavieres 1er Cru is fully destemmed this year and matured in 25% new oak. It has a well-defined nose, more black fruit here, touches of pencil box and light tertiary scents. It is a little introspective compared to its peers. The palate is medium-bodied with a fresh, vibrant entry, quite minerally, but it needs more complexity and a bit more matiere on the finish. 86-88 points
