2022 Niepoort Tiara (Douro)

High-altitude, old vines, a field-blend dominated by Rabigato, with no malolactic fermentation. Ripe lime, lime zest, lemon peel, flint and struck match from reduction in perfect balance. The palate shows a fuller fruit profile, with more lemon and peach notes, finishing on flint and cordite, very clean and refreshing. A delightful wine! (JH 01/05/2025)
