2022 Graziano Lambrusco Fontana dei Boschi

Lambrusco, but a far cry from the gently sweet fizzy wines typical of the name. Subtle apple-skin, earthy, vaguely floral notes on the aromas give way to zesty plum-skin, peach and jazz apple, with just enough fizz to enliven the palate without being fully sparkling. Feels dry on the finish, although it probably isn`t completely, with notes of blood orange at the close. Quite a unique wine! (JH 27/03/2025)
