The 2022 Riesling Urziger Wurzgarten Alte Reben Grosses Gewachs, from vines beyond 100 years of age, opens with a touch of yarrow, but it takes time for ripe stone fruit to come through. The palate is intense, absolutely concentrated, and zesty with a deep-seated slatey savoriness, bedded in tangy citrus zest and crushed tansy aromas. The finish is lip-smacking, long, pristine.
