Jane Anson
Luscious and sweet, sticky dates and creme caramel flavours, balanced by orange zest and lime. There is interest and contrast here, but even at this exceptional Barsac estate, owned by the Baly family, it is hard not to crave a little more lift. 92 points
Neal Martin
The 2022 Coutet has a beautifully-defined nose with pure botrytised fruit: tangerine, saffron, honeysuckle and orange rind hints. This has impressive focus. The palate is medium-bodied with a viscous opening, fine acidity, pure and harmonious. A tensile and persistent finish drags you back for another sip. Superb. 94-96 points
Antonio Galloni
The 2022 Coutet is a wild, exotic Barsac. Passionfruit, lime, dried flowers, mint, candied orange peel and apricot all run through this unabashedly exuberant sweet wine. 92-94 points
