Full bottle 1,611 g. 100% Pinot Noir from a single south-east-facing vineyard on the Hundred Hills estate in Oxfordshire. Alcoholic and full malo in stainless-steel tanks. Bottled August 2022. Aged sur lattes for 32 months. Dosage 3 gl.
Golden. Lime and stone and grapefruit and shortbread. Cardamom, clementine and fennel seed. Tight, tiny bead. Very spicy with palpable tension, but also deep-breath smokiness and satsuma peel. It was beautiful with a mild but very very fragrant-spicy curry. 17 points

The 2021 Brut Blanc de Noirs is a pure Pinot Noir. The base wines ferment in stainless steel with full malolactic conversion. The wine spends 32 months on lees. A combination of mellow Red Delicious apple and melted butter on the nose continues seamlessly onto the palate. A slight pepperiness recalls toasted rye sourdough while fine bubbles persist and rise. Underneath it all is electric 2021 acidity and beautiful chalkiness. Very much 2021, very much England. Dosage is 3 grams per liter. 90 points
