Antonio Galloni
The 2021 Barolo Gramolere is a hugely promising wine. Black cherry, gravel, spice, new leather, licorice and crushed rocks add to an impression of gravitas. A dark, hulking wine, the 2021 is going to need time to be at its best. Today, it is a touch reduced, but a racking should take care of that. Drink 2028 - 2045. 94-96 points

Another fantastic showing from Fratelli Alessandria, the 2021 Gramolere, an MGA in Monforte, has enticing aromas of wild rose, spice, camphor and plumcake. Smooth and delicious, the enveloping palate offers up crushed raspberry strawberry compote, licorice and mentholated notes alongside firm, velvety tannins. It’s well balanced, with fresh acidity and boasts an almost weightless concentration. Drink 2031–2041. 96 points
