Jane Anson
A richer texture than the Hauts de Smith, less aromatic overall, one that is aimed more at the restaurant trade. The feel and form in the mouth is spherical but beautifully precise, it has weight through the mid palate with citrus fruits, white flowers and touch of bitterness on the finish of saffron and turmeric. 50% new oak. 92 points

The 2020 Le Petit Haut Lafitte Blancs is more expressive on the nose compared to the Les Haut de Smith Blanc, offering scents of orchard fruit, lemon peel, Granny Smith apples and dandelion. The palate is very well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, cohesive and poised. Palpable salinité drives the finish. Excellent. 90-92 points
