The 2020 Pinot Noir Brauneberger Mandelgraben * opens with a generously aromatic as well as toasty and flinty bouquet of riper and stewed sour cherries and dark berries intertwined with floral and black tea aromas as well as flinty and herbal nuances in the background. Silky, fresh and finessed on the first palate, this medium to full-bodied Pinot Noir reveals elegant and balanced fruit with silky yet firmly structuring tannins and fine, crystalline acidity. The finish is linear and long and, again, on the Kirsch leitmotiv. 13% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in August 2024 from AP 12 23. Drink 2027 - 2040. 93 points
