Intense citrus, melon and raw honey aromas, with orange blossom, ripe apple and beeswax, leads on to a rich, structured plate laden with ripe peach, pineapple and buttered sweetcorn, balanced by fresh red apple acidity which lifts the palate on to a long, complex finish. A unique, distinctive wine of exceptional pedigree and significant potential. (JH 22/09/2021)

Winemaker Danie Jnr’s great grandfather planted these bush vines in 1947, making it the second-oldest Chenin block in the country. The nose shows honeysuckle, apple and peach, then there`s pure, sweet fruit on the palate, offset by bright acidity. 92 points

Tropical, exotic and richly flavoured it may be, but this stunning old-vine Chenin Blanc is beautifully poised and balanced with incredible focus and palate length. Dense, nuanced and finely oaked, it has honey, nectarine and apple pie flavours, zesty acidity and delightful minerality and length. Drink 2022-28. 96 points
